Foundations of Cancer Disease Sites Part D (CDSD00ODM19)

Facilitator(s):

Komal Patel and Donalda MacDonald

This course is an update of the disease sites information in the Foundations of Oncology Nursing Practice (FONP) course, which covered breast, lung, colorectal and prostate cancer. If you have completed Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice before summer of 2019, do not take this course unless you wish to review an updated version of the previous disease site content.

Foundations of Cancer Disease Sites Part D covers cancer care competencies in managing the four most common disease sites - lung, colorectal, breast, and prostate. There are 8 modules in total, covering disease site specific prevalence and incidence, risk factors, signs and symptoms, and more importantly, the latest updates in screening, biomarkers in diagnostics, treatment options, and survivorship care.
