Foundations of Cancer Disease Sites Part A - On Demand (CDSA)

Discover funding options available to you.

In order to support “just in time learning”, the institute is offering individual cancer disease sites as stand-alone short-courses. As part of the above effort, Cancer Disease Sites Part A course is now replaced by Foundations of Cancer Disease Sites Hematological Malignancies.

Please check the new Foundations of Cancer Disease Sites Hematological Malignancies course or Foundations of Cancer Disease Sites Series as new modules are being added to the series on a regular basis.

This course covers cancer care competencies in managing hematological malignancies. The course is divided into four sections. The first section, review of hematopoiesis, the immune system, and diagnostic testing, contains review material necessary for understanding the disease site modules. The other three sections will cover the essentials of multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia. There are 14 modules in total, covering disease site-specific pathophysiology, incidence, risk factors, signs and symptoms, and more importantly, the latest updates in diagnostics, staging, treatment options, and survivorship care. The information presented in this course is fundamental to those who work with hematology/oncology patients and their families

Prerequisite:

Successful completion of either Cancer Care Basics, Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice or Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy is required to register in this course.
